ENQUIRE NOWK9 scent cabinets for professional detection programmes
Police, customs, military and private detection units across the UAE manage growing libraries of scent articles. How those articles are stored affects training directly: cross-contamination blurs the odour picture a dog learns, and slow retrieval wastes session time. FITD scent cabinets solve both problems with organised, isolated storage built for daily professional use.
Six cabinet configurations
- Open-Cell Scent Rack (FITD-SC-OC180) — 180 × 180 × 40 cm with 10 × 10 × 40 cm open cells for instant access; locking castors and push handles.
- 140-Drawer Scent Locker (FITD-SC-140D) — each article in its own drawer for maximum isolation in large libraries.
- Hybrid Open-Cell and Drawer (FITD-SC-HYBRID160) — fast-access cells for daily articles plus drawers for reference scents.
- Dual-Door Scent Storage (FITD-SC-2D180) — enclosed bulk storage for archive articles.
- 25-Drawer Training Cabinet (FITD-SC-25D) — compact system for smaller programmes and secondary stations.
- Stainless Steel Training Cabinet (FITD-SC-SS150) — full stainless steel for maximum hygiene and chemical resistance.

Free K9 facility consulting
FITD advises K9 facilities across all seven emirates of the UAE on cabinet choice and layout, based on the number of dogs, odour profiles and training tempo. Larger units often combine an open-cell rack for daily articles with a 140-drawer locker for the reference library. Contact us on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form to arrange a free consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Which cabinet suits a police or customs K9 unit?
For large scent libraries that need strict isolation, the 140-Drawer Locker. For fast daily retrieval, the Open-Cell Rack. Many professional units use both together.
Why does scent storage affect detection accuracy?
Articles stored together absorb and transfer odours. Dogs trained on contaminated articles learn an imprecise odour picture, which can show up as missed or false indications in operations.
Do you deliver and install scent cabinets across the UAE?
Yes. FITD is based in Dubai and delivers to all seven emirates. Contact us for lead times, delivery and installation for your facility.
